Famous but not Known - Why I Didn’t Just Slap My Name on a Skincare Line

Let’s get one thing straight: this isn’t one of those stories where someone woke up one day, had a “lightbulb moment,” and decided to throw their name on a pretty bottle of face cream. Nope. That’s not me.

My skincare line? It’s personal. It’s science-backed. And yes, it’s fabulous.

Let me rewind. Like a lot of teens, I struggled with my skin. Doctors handed me steroid-packed prescriptions like they were sweets. But my mother, skin whisperer and ingredient snob before it was cool, stepped in. She taught me the golden rule I still live by: less is more, if the ingredients are doing their job.

The thing about me, I get bored easily, but once I find that something that ignites my passion, it becomes my obsession. So what did I do? I buckled down and studied Biomedical Sciences at King’s College London. Because understanding skincare isn’t just about slathering things on your face. It’s about knowing what those ingredients do at a cellular level. And trust me, I know.

Flash-forward to 2018. Wink was in full swing, brows were booming (more on that in a minute), and I realized: I needed skincare that could match the quality I demanded for my clients and myself. Not overpriced fluff. Not ten-step routines that do nothing. Just powerful, smart, high-performance formulas. So I created them.

And when people ask me why my skincare hits different? It comes down to three unapologetic truths:

1. It’s made with the best, literally.

I partnered with a German manufacturer who also produces for some of the most elite skincare brands in the world. The kind you see behind glass in department stores with triple-digit price tags. Thanks to a very special relationship (hi, Mum), I was able to work with him in small batches. Translation: big results, boutique quality, without the bougie markup.

2. The Ingredients are Superior. Period.

We use clinically proven actives, not marketing fluff. Other brands with the same level of quality? They’re jacking up their prices to pay for billboards and celebrity endorsements. Me? I’d rather keep things clean, tight, and effective, and pass that value on to you.

3. I Know My Stuff.

This isn’t influencer skincare. This is Umbreen skincare. I’ve lived in this world, growing up in it, studying it, practicing it. I’ve touched thousands of faces. I know what works, what’s nonsense, and what actually transforms skin.

4. Now, Let’s Talk Eye Zone for a Second.

Most people know me for my brow pencils, and for good reason. I saw a gap in the market; 30 shades and still no match? Please. I created just three that actually work across skin tones. No drama, no guesswork, just results. That’s “less is more” in action.

But even with killer brows, your skin is your base. If that’s not glowing, the rest doesn’t land. That’s why my skincare line exists: to elevate your whole Eye Zone and everything around it.

Bottom line?
I didn’t create this line to be cute. I created it because we deserve better. Better ingredients. Better results. Better skin, without selling your soul (or half your paycheck).

So go ahead, glow like you mean it. I’ve got your back.
